An Explanation
Genius Loci (comes from the Latin of "spirit of a place") is a community where crazy people, sane people, things without minds, and much more come together to quarrel, bicker and otherwise exist. These aren't real people (or maybe they are). The action takes place in a run-down beach-side inn, pale blue from the beating sun, called The Waning Moon. Sometimes the doors don't lead to other rooms -- sometimes they lead to other planes of existence, or other worlds entirely. It seems to be awfully good at doing this. The inn itself isn't staffed, but things happen on schedule nonetheless: drinks appear out of the corner of your eye on the bar counter, rooms get cleaned, clothes get washed, food gets made. The number of rooms seems to fluctuate depending on the number of occupants, and you always know -- somehow -- which room is yours.
